Uphill you go on foot, the sled in tow. Once you have arrived, let your eyes wander into the distance before enjoying typical culinary delights of the South Tyrolean cuisine. So delicious! Down into the valley you and your loved ones will whizz down the mountain on a sled – great fun for the whole family.
Some of the charming mountain huts such as the Messner Hut or Malga di Tesido open their doors even in the cooler seasons and welcome snowshoe hikers.

If you prefer avoiding the heights, you may glide over white meadows, through woods, while cross-country skiing down in the valley. The Val Casies is part of the largest cross-country skiing carousel in Europe, the Dolomiti NordicSki, with 1,300 km of trails. One of the event highlights is the annual ski marathon Gsieser Tal Lauf – a must for real cross-country skiing fans.
All the skiers can visit the nearby Plan de Corones, South Tyrol’s No. 1 ski area, or spend some time on the slopes of the Sesto Dolomites ski region in Alta Pusteria. Pure skiing pleasure!
